Hannah Sarafinas, class of 2020, is flourishing as a school counselor four years post-graduation. Sarafinas began her Penn State journey at Brandywine in 2016, majoring in human development and family studies, minoring in civic and community engagement, and receiving a certificate in youth development and social justice.

Penn State alumna Meltem Ozdemir, class of 2022, is flourishing in her pharmacy doctoral program and as a youth head soccer coach two years post-graduation. Ozdemir began her Penn State journey at Brandywine in 2018, majoring in biology with a vertebrae physiology option.

Brandywine student-athletes honored at annual awards banquet

Penn State Brandywine Athletics held its annual awards banquet on May 22 in the Student Union. The 2023-24 academic year concluded Brandywine’s membership in the Penn State University Athletic Conference, as the athletic program transitions to NCAA Division III and the United East Conference this fall.

Brandywine hosts annual youth STEAM event

The Brandywine LaunchBox held its annual Youth Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) and Startup Day on May 7. More than 60 seventh-grade students from four local middle schools (Haverford Middle School in Havertown, Lionville Middle School in Exton, Northley Middle School in Aston and Upper Merion Middle School in King of Prussia) attended the event to learn about physics, entrepreneurship, robotics and more.

Brandywine alumna flourishes in engineering career

In high school, Jaclyn Domsohn wasn’t sure what to study in college. She knew she enjoyed math and physics, but she hadn’t thought about engineering. That changed after she started taking classes at Penn State Brandywine, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering in 2021. She is now a mechanical engineer in the Mobility Division of CTDI, a global company in the communications, mobility and consumer devices service industries.
